My passion is helping people to improve their gut health with conditions such as; IBS (FODMAP trained), acid reflux, coeliac, chronic constipation, issues post gallbladder removal, diverticular disease, chronic diarrhoea, & other gastroenterology conditions (see Cherry Nutrition). The ability to make a positive difference to patient’s lives through dietary and lifestyle change gives me a great sense of satisfaction.
Whether you’re seeking help with gut issues such as IBS, think you have a food allergy or intolerance, worried about an ageing parent who is losing weight or if you have just been told you have high cholesterol, each client is individually assessed both clinically and holistically. Each person is provided with a well-researched and comprehensive plan that will fit around their particular lifestyle demands.
Since graduating from the University of Hertfordshire with a BSc Dietetics I have worked exclusively for the NHS as a registered dietitian – in variety of locations across Essex and Cambridge including Addenbrookes Hospital. I have enjoyed the last few years as a specialist gastroenterology dietitian working in Essex and I am an experienced Kings College trained FODMAP practitioner.
I am experienced and comfortable caring for patients with other broad range of other diet related conditions including; liver issues, high cholesterol, post stroke/heart attack dietary change and diet optimisation with those with food intolerance and allergy.I have supported 100s of patients and their families with slowing and reversing weight loss associated with conditions of advancing age such as dementia, Parkinson’s Disease and post hip replacement etc;
At Cherry Nutrition we are able to offer bespoke care, up to date quality patient resources and 50 minutes per standard appointment which is not possible in the NHS.
Cherry Nutrition has clinic space located at a modern GP practice with ample free parking just outside of Chelmsford Essex (5 mins from the A12). I also offer Skype appointments for people who struggle to get to clinic during the week.
In 2018 I began studying part-time for a MSc Allergy at University of Southampton with the aim of offering a Specialist Dietetic Gastroenterology and Allergy combined service for both adults AND children by 2019/2020.
I am HCPC registered and a full member of the British Dietetic Association (BDA) including the Freelance dietitian group. I am also a member of the British Society for Gastroenterology (BSG) and British Society for Allergy and Clinical Immunology (BSACI) amongst others. I regularly attend conferences and professional training across the UK to keep my knowledge up to date.
In my free time, I like to spend time with my husband and 3 children; cooking, walking in the beautiful Essex countryside and travelling both in the UK and further afield!
