Claire Pettitt MSc RD is a UK Registered Dietitian and Nutritionist and a member of the Singapore Nutrition and Dietetic Association, who is passionate about health and food. Claire believes food, and our relationship with it, is the backbone to our health and wellbeing and a healthy relationship with food, and with our bodies, starts with being able to listen to and trust in our bodies.
Claire spent years studying and has a BSc in Biology, an MSc in Nutrition, two PGDips – one in Dietetics and the other Sports nutrition, and is now trying to complete her PhD, so you can safely say that she is well qualified and her work is evidence-based and up to date.
Claire is a BDA Spokesperson working with the media, and has worked on the British Dietetic Associations IBS Nutrition Guidance in 2016, and is now a member of the recently formed BDA Maternal and Fertility Nutrition Specialist Group. Claire is a founder and moderator of an online journal club for dietitians and nutritionists (#RDJC), which helps support other nutrition professionals in building their research and appraisal skills.
Claire has spent recent years in research looking at appetite and body composition changes during dietary interventions, and previously worked in the UK National Health Service helping people with health issues such as IBS, supporting women with PCOS and fertility challenges from conception, through pregnancy and postpartum and her main love is supporting people with developing long-lasting health behaviours to improve both physical and mental health through intuitive eating. Claire offers online virtual sessions, is friendly and accessible and really gets to know her clients in order provide holistic nutrition advice tailored to you and your life.
