Nutrition is not merely a learned skill, but a personal passion in which continuing to strive for wellness and healing is paramount in my daily life. I combine a unique background in scientific research, holistic health studies and specialist clinical training in nutrition at New York Presbyterian Hospital (University Hospital of Columbia and Cornell) with an inherent respect for mind-body medicine. I have been in private practice for over ten years and the interest I have in my profession only grows.

Driving my approach is the simple fact that without the proper tools and resources, the body cannot be optimised in healing from disease: whole foods are essential in providing the necessary building blocks for renewed and maintained health. Nutrition counselling serves as both preventative medicine and as a treatment for current, active health problems without the negative side effects of medications and surgeries, which are increasingly overprescribed.

I suffered with my own health challenges from my teens, and nutrition was the major game changer in my recovery: I am constantly awed by the power food has to make incredible changes in the physical and mental health of people – my job is an honour to perform and I am excited to meet and treat every patient. I understand how difficult it can be to make lifestyle changes, and help to empower you to find the ways which will work for you for the long term: enjoyment of what you eat is fundamental too – so no miserable, restrictive eating plans.

I am a Registered Dietitian, fully accredited by both the American Commission on Dietetic Registration and the UK’s Health Professions Council: The RD credential is reserved only for those nutritionists who have completed rigorous clinical and academic training, so you are in very safe hands no matter what health challenges you are facing. I combine my clinical background with a holistic, intuitive approach, treating a broad range of conditions (both chronic and acute) with much experience in specialities mentioned below.

In addition to private practice I also provide nutrition lecturing and corporate wellness services. While offering the classic one-to-one counselling sessions, I also treat couples, families and groups pursuing greater health using food as medicine. For long distance clients, I use Skype, which has proven to be a very friendly way to interact. I am a very warm, positive, inspired practitioner and promise to provide each client with a calm, friendly and absolutely non-judgmental environment within which to face health challenges.

Prior to going into private practice full time, I held NHS roles which include lead dietitian for Cambridgeshire’s overweight and obesity lifestyle service (run by Everyone Health and Cambridgeshire County Council) and clinical specialist dietitian for paediatric diabetes.

I am committed to providing the best service for my clients by staying up to date with the latest reliable nutrition research and by being as supportive as I possibly can to help them achieve their goals. Once a client is under my treatment I am fully available between meetings via phone and email. You can expect full nutritional analysis of blood tests, a treatment plan entirely devised for you and lots and lots of practical and educational advice to show you how simple it can be to make positive nutritional and lifestyle changes.
