As an acute adult dietitian I gained experience in a range of areas including mental health, neurology and gastroenterology. I became a highly specialist paediatric dietitian, specialising in infectious disease, with experience in allergy and neonates. I have since moved into the corporate sector working within contract catering in Education and developing systems and policy to ensure streamline and safe delivery of medical diets in primary schools. I have worked closely with chef and menu development, operations, legal, safety and well-being, local authorities, site staff and clients, and directors. I have managed and been acting manager to other members of the education nutrition and dietetic team, and worked closely with dietitians in healthcare and B&I.
I am both dynamic and practical when approaching project work, and excel at communication and organisation in order to implement vision and achieve project goals. I work with awareness of the impact decisions made in one area of a business can have on other areas and promote effective communication to establish appropriate action, working to or within any guidelines and standards. I am experienced in the creation of medical diets and am able to support companies and authorities to create and manage their medical diet provision. I have also contributed to EDUcatering magazine with a reach of circa 40,000. The article on food poverty can be found at the following link; http://flickread.com/edition/html/5cde689bf1c65#10
