I am a British Dietetic Association registered clinical specialist dietitian with over 10 years of experience in delivering nutritional education, advice and support to a range of different client groups. My clinical experience is working within the community health care sector conducting assessments and specialist nutritional interventions with a range of individuals previously working with adults and most recently working with children aged 0-18 years. Within my current role I provide individualised and bespoke assessment and care planning for children who present with varying degrees of complexity, for example children with cow’s milk protein allergy, poor growth, feeding difficulties / fussy eating and weight management. All assessments and advice provided are in line with national guidance and evidence based practice, which is supported through regular attendance at clinical professional development forums, groups and training. Alongside individual one-to-one sessions I am able to lead discussion groups, deliver bespoke training packages and support a range of organisations in working with young people with nutritional needs.
I regularly support the BDA as a spokesperson and have contributed to articles published in the Dailymail and by the BBC and have supported Channel 5 onscreen in Supermarket Secrets, due to air March 2021.
My overall goal is to support people with nutritional needs to be able to manage their health, rather than their health managing them.
