Jen runs JL Nutrition Clinic and works mainly with people who have an eating disorder or disordered eating, or IBS. She also works for a private bariatric service and can see patients who have issues after surgery.
At the clinic we treat clients with eating disorders in as collaborative way as possible, linking into the healthy part of you. With psycho-education focused on nutrition and how your body works, we hope to enable to you to fight the eating disorder voice and eat the food you need. We will often give a meal plan, but it may not always be necessary and this will be guided by you and, where relevant, your family. If and when appropriate, we then help you start to tackle fear foods and eating disorder specific behaviours that you have identified.
Using principles of evidenced based behavioural change therapies, such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance commitment therapy (ACT), as well as solution focused based therapy, we help you implement long-lasting changes that fit with your lifestyle and values.
