Kate gained a BSc hons in dietetics in 1984 at Leeds Polytechnic She then trained as a teacher and gained a post graduate diploma in health promotion, and worked in Further education, and as a Health promotion specialist within the National Health Service. She returned to dietetics in 2002.
In 2007 she set up a private practice Eat Fit Therapy, encouraging people to become more knowledgeable about food and its link with promoting health.
Kate has worked in the NHS for 25 years, and has gained experience in obesity management, nutritional support and older people, neurological disorders, diabetes and mental health.
Kate can offer private consultations, presentations to groups, and advice and support to caterers, workplaces and the voluntary sector.
