Lucy is a passionate and enthusiastic Dietitian, specialising in infant and child nutrition. She has over 10 years paediatric experience, working in the NHS and private sector including; specialist mental health settings, community practice, special schools and large teaching hospitals. Her current NHS role is based at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
She is confident in the management of a range of infant and child nutritional concerns, and has a track record of supporting children, adolescents and their families with:
- Infant feeding
- Reflux management
- Fussy eating, food refusal
- Food allergy, including multiple allergies
- Faltering growth/low weight
- Weight management
- Tube feeding, including tube weaning
- Management of complex/problem feeding and food refusal (can be delivered within multiprofessional feeding clinic also)
- Autistic Spectrum Conditions
- Vegetetarian and vegan diets
- Coeliac Disease
Lucy is a committed member of a private sector trans-disciplinary feeding team who have experience managing children with complex feeding difficulties and food refusal. She is trained to deliver the SOS approach to feeding therapy – check out the website above for more information.
Lucy has an active media presence, featuring on BBC Breakfast, BBC West Midlands, ITV, Radio 5 Live, and regularly within newspaper or magazine publications. She is consulted regularly for resources and publications targeted at parents, early years settings and schools.
