I am an experienced Dietitian with 20 years post graduate practice. I have extensive experience across a wide range of dietetic areas with particular skills in diabetes, heart health, allergy, malnutrition and elderly care including dementia.
I am a good listener and will help you understand how diet could improve your health and wellbeing and keep you healthy in the future. I can give you practical advice, based on evidence to help you keep your diet balanced while making adjustments to achieve any health related goals you have.
Since 2014, I have worked freelance seeing patients with a range of conditions and helping them understand how to improve their nutrition and their health. I work regularly for a group of Dementia Specialist Nursing homes and as a Community Paediatric Dietitian for the NHS.
I began my career working in a large teaching hospital where my work covered general medicine, general surgery, oesophageal surgery, elderly care, orthopaedics, dermatology, stroke, heart health and gastrointestinal conditions.
I specialised in diabetes, working for a number of years as a Diabetes Specialist Dietitian before working as a community dietitian, covering general clinics, home visits, diabetes and rehabilitation services. While in this role I developed specialist skills in the identification and treatment of malnutrition and it’s consequences, particularly in elderly care.
I now enjoy working Freelance, supporting Nursing Homes with their nutrition practices, working with individuals to improve their health through diet and seeing children and their carers with allergies and weight concerns.
