I am unlike any dietitian you have ever met.  I know that there is a wealth of free information available off of the internet….so why would anyone pay to see a dietitian?

My passion is giving highly personalised advice and getting to the root of whatever diet-related or medical issue you may be struggling with.  For example, if you want to lose weight, we won’t just talk about your food intake and physical activity level.  We will also discuss your stress levels, medication, how you are sleeping and how motivated you feel.  If you want to gain weight,  I will also ask you about nausea, medication, taste changes, swallowing problems, anxiety and depression (in addition to talking about food and physical activity). Initial assessments take approximately 75 minutes where I collect information about your medical history, medication and many of the issues mentioned above.  From that, I can almost always determine what the underlying problem is (it may or may not have anything to do with what you are eating) and I can either provide advice on the spot, ask your GP to run additional tests and/or refer you to other professionals and resources that can help.

As a dietitian, I generally spend more time with my clients than any other health professional.  I believe that helpful advice comes from listening to people really well and understanding what they are going through.  As much as possible, I try out all of my advice before I pass it along to my clients.   I have even been known to eat pureed food just so I could get first-hand experience of what my clients were going through.  Because of this, I can usually help people who haven’t been successful with other diet and nutrition programs, such as those with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, thyroid problems, chronic fatigue, and people taking psychiatric medication.  I can also help people who have regained weight following bariatric surgery and people who struggle with emotional eating.  My gentle and compassionate approach and my ability to “think outside the box” also makes me very well-suited to assist people with special needs such as those with acquired brain injuries, learning disabilities and dementia.

Looking for a meal plan? I’m happy to provide that, but I always work together with you so that it only includes foods that you like and so that you can hear my thought process which will allow you to make your own changes to the plan in the future. I believe more in “mix and match” meal ideas as opposed to a rigid meal plan because it is more flexible and is much easier to fit into your life.

Looking for a weight loss or nutrition “coach” and someone to hold you accountable to what you say you are going to do? I offer that as well. It is easy to get off track if no one else knows what you are trying to accomplish. So consider me your “accountability buddy” — someone who will check in with you regularly, cheer you on when things go well, and give you a gentle nudge when you get off track. I’m also there to coach you through the plateaus, vacations, parties and meals out so that you can get results while still enjoying your life.

Let’s be sure that my approach is what you are looking for and that you are going to feel comfortable and confident working with me.  Please get in touch for a no-obligation discussion about your specific needs and how I can help.  I am committed to assisting you in any way that I can, even if it means referring you on to someone else.  You can reach me at 07787 603863 or  You can also check out my reviews at here.  I look forward to working with you!

Appointments can be arranged at your convenience and include evening and weekend appointments and/or home visits.

I also offer a clinic in Kenilworth on the first Tuesday of every month.

Note: At the moment,  general nutrition advice and weight management constitute 50% of my business.  A website for this part of my business is currently under development.  The other 50% of time is spent helping people with brain injuries and neurological conditions, so if you try to search for my website, this is what will come up.  I thought this was worth mentioning as it does seem to confuse a lot of people.  Quite simply, I am passionate about two, very distinct areas of nutrition and I just couldn’t choose.  But don’t worry – I do see members of the general public as well!  If you are interested in reading more about my approach to weight loss, check out the following blog articles:

Why “eat less, move more” advice for weight loss is so unhelpful.
