Profile

Sian is a HCPC Registered Consultant Dietitian with practising privileges at BMI The Cavell Hospital and BMI The Kings Oak Hospital in North London.

She has an extensive NHS portfolio which ensures exemplary evidence-based clinical practice and consistent professional development. She now works primarily in the NHS on behalf of The Royal Free NHS Foundation Trust and The Whittington Hospital in London.

She focuses  extensively on supporting patients improve their gut health and has completed Advanced  FODMAP training for the management of patients with IBS. She has recent clinical experience in managing pre and post bariatric patients, clients seeking weight management guidance, clients with Type II diabetes and developing strategies for cancer patients requiring nutritional support and texture modification. Sian worked at The Royal Marsden from 2004-2011. Most recently her NHS work has covered neurodegenerative diseases including dementia and Parkinson’s disease.

In addition to her clinical role, she is passionate about catering within the NHS, hospitality and commercial sectors. She was part of the award winning catering and dietetic team at The Royal Marsden Hospital, receiving ‘Good Food on the Public Plate’ awards from Sustain, for incorporating local, seasonal and organic produce into the hospital menus. She was also privileged to be nutritional adviser to Raymond Blanc when he was compiling his BBC series Kitchen Secrets II and was an integral part of an award winning team which launched a healthy toddler range from conception to market.

She has been an expert witness for a leading London law firm.
